By downloading, accessing, or using Sam, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Sam is a devotional companion for Scripture, prayer, and reflection. Readings, chat replies, and prayers that mention being personalized are generated with the help of AI (Groq) based on what you share with Sam — they are a devotional aid, not professional pastoral counseling, therapy, medical advice, or legal advice. If you’re in crisis or need professional support, please reach out to a qualified professional or, in an emergency, your local emergency services.

You need an account (via Google or Apple Sign-In) to use Sam. You’re responsible for keeping your account secure. Sam is not directed at children under 13, and you must meet the minimum age required by your app store to use it.

Sam Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, at the price shown at purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Play Store account settings — we don’t process payments or store your card details ourselves.

Points are a virtual, non-transferable balance used to unlock certain features within Sam. Points have no cash value, can’t be redeemed for money, and aren’t refundable except where required by law or store policy.

You own what you write into Sam (chat messages, prayers, journal entries, and so on). By using the app, you give us the license needed to store, process, and use that content solely to provide and improve Sam’s features (including sending the relevant parts to Groq to generate a personalized reply). We won’t sell your content to third parties.

Don’t use Sam to harass others, attempt to break or reverse-engineer the app or its backend, or use it for anything unlawful.

Sam’s design, character art, and code belong to its developer. Bible text is used under its respective public-domain or licensed terms. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative apps from Sam’s content or code.

You can stop using Sam and delete your account at any time — see Delete Your Account. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.

Sam is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will always be accurate — please use good judgment, especially with anything Sam generates.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sam’s developer isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

We may update these terms from time to time; we’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
